Transit Signal Priority (TSP) is a safe, secure transit strategy that provides preferential treatment of in-service transit vehicles, such as bus, streetcar or light rail, when traveling through traffic-signal controlled intersections.  TSP is also a recommended ITS technology for Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and other integrated on-board systems.
