Volunteers serve their neighbors through multiple missions in October
Throughout the first part of October, more than 20 Global Traffic Technologies (GTT) employees will join forces to give back to their communities in a day of caring. GTT has offered every employee a day to volunteer as a team, or with the community organization of their choice. The GTT team joins over 200 events around the world, sponsored by the other operating companies (OpCos) and locations of their parent company, Fortive Corporation.
GTT has offices in Oakdale, Minn. and regional sales team members throughout the United States and Canda. Employees will be helping to feed the hungry and provide coats for kids as the winter approaches.
“With over 50 employees in the Oakdale area, GTT is committed supporting the community by giving back our time and resources,” GTT president Jason Lund said. “We have a history of working actively to help our neighbors in need and are pleased to extend that tradition to kick off our second Fortive Day of Caring.”
Already this month, GTT employees were part of a group of 230 volunteers participating in a Feed My Starving Children mobile pack event. Collectively, they helped pack 82,728 meals in Woodbury on Thursday, Oct. 4.
On Oct. 10-11, GTT team members will help set up and distribute coats to children in need during the Salvation Army’s Coats For Kids drive in Maplewood.
