GTT to show the benefits of powerful analytics and worry-free priority control at Firehouse World 2018
Fire industry professionals to get insights into latest-generation signal preemption technology at San Diego event
At the Firehouse World 2018 conference and exhibition in San Diego, California (March 4-8), Global Traffic Technologies (GTT) will engage with the international firefighting community to discuss the way that powerful analytics and flexible priority control system options can help to improve incident response times and get crews to the scene safely and efficiently.
Firehouse World, which has been held at the San Diego Convention Center annually for the past decade, describes itself as “the most comprehensive event serving today’s fire-service leadership with the international education and range of products and technologies necessary to prepare them for the urban, rural, and wildland challenges they face today and tomorrow”.
GTT is the trusted market leader in priority control solutions, and its industry-leading Opticom™ EVP allows emergency vehicles to request a green light at intersections, dramatically reducing the potential for intersection crashes and improving incident response times by up to 25%. This results in responders arriving on the scene quickly and safely, providing better outcomes and operational savings.
At Firehouse World 2018, GTT product manager Chad Mack will present two educational sessions at the Firehouse Education Theater. On Tuesday March 6 at 1pm, in a session entitled ‘Improving Response Times with Powerful Analytics’, he will discuss how analytics tools provide emergency departments with an easy means to evaluate vehicle performance, assess run statistics, review operational trends and quantify the overall productivity of the preemption system, making it straightforward for cities to assess the impact of their preemption system and identify ways to improve their overall travel time across the city.
Then, on Wednesday March 7 at 11.30am, Mack will talk about the concept of Priority Control as a Service in a session entitled ‘Get On The Scene Safely With Worry-Free Priority Control’. The PCaaS solution offers all the benefits of the traditional Opticom system, providing emergency vehicles with the ability to request a green light at intersections – but without the worry of buying, installing and maintaining equipment. The subscription service is simplified and streamlined to benefit the agency and improve its operations, without burdening it with additional capital investment, maintenance, long-term commitments and technology risks.
GTT will also have a presence on the exhibition show floor at Firehouse World 2018, where attendees will be able to discuss with GTT staff the ways in which Opticom EVP, award-winning Opticom Analytics and Priority Control as a Service can help to improve their emergency response times and improve responder and public safety. Visit GTT at booth 538.
