GADSDEN, AL- First responders in Gadsden will have a little easier time navigating traffic following an agreement by the Gadsden City Council.
The council approved a $20,000 per year agreement with Global Traffic Technologies, LLC and K2 Capital Group, LLC for hardware and software that will allow the fire department to change traffic lights green along a route before the firetrucks arrive.
The GPS-based system will be installed at 12 intersections in the city.
