GTT/ATP to present on interoperable systems at ITE-IMSA’s Annual Vendor Tech Showcase
Join Global Traffic Technologies and Advanced Traffic Products on Feb. 9 for a joint presentation on how modern cities are pushing for more interoperable systems.
February 4, 2021 (ST. PAUL, Minn.) – Global Traffic Technologies (GTT) and regional distribution partner Advanced Traffic Products (ATP) will be presenting during the Washington State Section of ITE Washington and the Northwest Section of IMSA’s annual vendor technology showcase on Feb. 8-9.
On Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 4:10 p.m. PST, Liam Kearns, GTT pre-sales solutions engineer, will lead a joint presentation in the Traffic/ITS category in Vendor Session 4. “Designing Interoperable Systems for Smarter Mobility” will focus on the increasing number of transportation challenges that cities face, the array of technology solutions available to solve those problems – including priority control – and how public agencies can utilize these new technologies while still being fiscally responsible.
Traffic professionals will have the opportunity to connect with GTT and ATP and ask questions about its industry-leading Opticom™ preemption and priority control solutions after the joint presentation has concluded.
Cities today need disparate technological systems to be interoperable and agnostic to be able to communicate seamlessly with one another to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. Attendees of the joint presentation will learn how Opticom priority control solutions allow them to control the movement of people and goods in a safer, more efficient manner, including a new centralized solution from Opticom. The presentation will highlight successful implementations in New York City, Montreal, and other smart cities.
“As urban areas have become increasingly denser, the need for smart mobility solutions has become that much more important,” Kearns said. “Fortunately, creative, innovative solutions do exist, and several major cities are using them to minimize traffic disruptions.”
“ATP has been a leading dealer of Opticom priority control solutions in the Western United States for years,” said Dewey Garner, OPTICOM Business Development Manager for ATP. “This relationship has helped us equip hundreds of cities with the kind of priority control they need to protect their first responders and make their communities safer.”
